Richmel Productions is a diversified independent entertainment company headed by President & CEO, Richard F. Melcombe.  Richmel specializes in specific entertainment areas including domestic & international television, strategic thinking & planning for major media companies, and domestic & international marketing & promotion.

In 2007, Richmel launched Richmel Media, which is a collection of web-based media sites.  The first website melslife.com was launched in October 2008 and focuses on healthy living, lifestyles, and food.  melslife is currently evolving into a television, radio and mobile property to integrate old and new media, and will have a sister site called Circle of Wellness, which will feature health and wellness experts, coupons, health research and studies.

Richmel was a founding company and partner in Action Adventure Network.  Television series produced by AAN include The Lost World with executive producer John Landis.  The show aired for four years in syndication anchored by the Tribune station group.  Episodes now appear daily on TNT.

Movies produced by AAN include Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde with executive producer Francis Ford Coppola, Matthew Blackheart with executive producer Richard Donner, and Fearless with executive producer Roger Donaldson.

Additional television shows produced by Richmel include NBC’s Camp Cucamonga, a two-hour movie, Emergency 911 for syndication, the comedy Our Gang for TBS, and the sports game show Grudge Match, as well as many network, cable, and syndicated pilots.  A British version of Grudge Match was produced in the United Kingdom for the ITV Network.

In 2006, Richmel revived its low-cost and Spanish-language entity, Señorita Anita Productions, and produced the reality magazine show Ride ‘N for the ABC Television Station Group.

In 2005 and continuing through 2006, Richmel had a development deal with NBC and partnered with Dreamworks to produce an action hour in China.  This year Richmel is working with FOX to produce an action show in Asia.

Richmel has developed action hours for NBC, CBS, MTV and Sony International, and reality shows for USA Network, Buena Vista Television, FX, and The Sci-Fi Channel, and sitcoms for FOX, NBC, ABC, CBS, and TBS.

In 1998, Sony acquired the original Señorita Anita Productions to produce shows exclusively for Telemundo.  Richmel retained the rights to the Señorita Anita Productions name and has reactivated the division.

Señorita Anita Productions is devoted to the production of high quality Spanish-language and bilingual programming for the US Latino market.  Currently SAP is working on a Spanish-language version of Ride ‘N for a division of Univision.

Señorita Anita Production produced 85 hours of Al Día con María Conchita for Telemundo, which was a talk and variety show hosted by Maria Conchita Alonso.  Señorita Anita Productions has also produced two shows for Univision and Galavision -- Al Desnudo and Mi Casita -- and developed six shows for Telefutura and one for Telemundo.

In 2002, Richmel started Richmel Asia to produce international formats in China and to use China as a factory floor to bring American-financed production to China for action adventure television shows and movies. Currently Richmel Asia is working with broadcast and networks to produce, original US martial-art themed shows.

Richmel Asia’s first show was to be China Idol (working title), a Chinese version of American Idol in partnership with CCTV and Fremantle.  Recently the Chinese government banned international formats.
